University of Dayton Soccer Tournament to benefit CFDP

11 April 2012

We are very excited to share with you a project that has been in the works for some time. The University of Dayton Women’s Club Soccer Team is hosting a tournament on campus to benefit our youth in Cameroon! These types of events are great because they bring people together with their common love of the game. We find this is true all around the world. In Cameroon, all it takes is a nice soccer ball to bring people out in droves to play for hours. In the US, it takes a little bit more planning….

The 6v6 tournament set for Sunday, April 15th was organized entirely by UD Students. They have been planning this for months and the day promises to be a fantastic experience for all who are involved. Even those who don’t come out on top can still leave the pitch knowing they played the game in service of others. After all, who doesn’t love a day of competitive soccer which benefits underprivileged communities in West Africa?

Stay tuned to see who is crowned champions!
